Formation: One of the milestones got achieved in the year of 2004, when another need & a long standing demand of the donor organizations across India came live.
Minister in Charge of Health & Family Welfare, Government of West Bengal Dr. Surjya Kanta Mishra inaugurated the meeting on 14 th June of 2004, which got presided by Dr. Debashish Gupta, who laid the foundation stone of an organization for the thousands of donor organizations working on the cause of Non Remunerated Voluntary Blood Donation Programme across the country.
Federation of Blood Donor Organizations of India or FBDOI as is called in abbreviation gave the donor organizations across India the much needed stepping stone towards making a mark.
With the stepping stone laid on the 14th June 2004 under the leadership of Apurva Ghosh as founder Secretary General, FBDOI, now holds more than hundreds of organizations in all states of India working day & night to ensure safe blood transfused to the people who need it.
